What is cybersecurity.codes?
The official public distribution terminal of the Global Cybersecurity Code Authority, issuing the daily codes that control everything cybersecurity, worldwide. One authority, one set of codes, zero incidents that we are permitted to discuss.
Are these real cybersecurity codes?
These are the only codes issued by the Global Cybersecurity Code Authority, which makes them exactly as real as the Authority itself. If a code on this site ever opens anything of yours, please report it to the Authority immediately so we can take the credit.
When do the codes change?
New global codes are issued at 00:00 UTC every day and remain in effect for exactly 24 hours. The countdown at the top of the page shows time remaining before rotation.
Why does everyone on Earth see the same codes?
The codes are computed directly from the UTC date using a seeded random number generator, so every visitor sees identical codes on the same day — no server, no database, no coordination. This is exactly how real global security works, if films are to be believed.
Can I use the Master Override Code?
On what? No. The Master Override Code overrides everything and therefore, in practice, nothing. Please use it responsibly, which is to say: not at all.
Who runs the Global Cybersecurity Code Authority?
That information is classified at a level that is itself classified. There is no staff directory, no published budget, no confirmed bunker under Geneva, and no fax machine — so, again, please stop faxing the codes to your government.
Can I install the terminal on my device?
Yes. The Authority issues a field terminal: install this page from your browser menu (or the INSTALL FIELD TERMINAL button, where offered) and it runs full-screen, launches from your home screen, and keeps working with no network at all — the codes are computed from the date itself, so an offline terminal is exactly as authoritative as a connected one.
Does this site collect my data?
No. There are no cookies, no tracking, no analytics, and no backend. The site cannot remember you, which is also its official security policy.
What should I do if today's Threat Condition seems serious?
Remain suspicious. That is the entire protocol. For actual cybersecurity advice, consult an actual cybersecurity professional — the Authority does not do consultations, for reasons that are classified.
